Other Projects

In addition to education reform, our young people also work on a variety of social issues that impact youth’s lives.

For example, they worked closely with the Providence Mayor’s Office and Providence City Council to get an ordinance passed banning the sale of candy-flavored nicotine products, and successfully fought big tobacco’s efforts to get the ordinance overturned. Youth have also worked on public safety issues, including safe driving and reducing texting while driving.

Through this effort, youth have implemented innovative efforts to successfully support their peers to have healthy relationships, including a youth-led website, social media campaigns, videos, and radio spots.
